Brunton Hunter has recently retired from his family garage business in which he has worked since 1968, having previously served an apprenticeship as an auto electrical and diesel technician in Edinburgh. He has always had an interest in art, particularly sculpture. He is now intending to devote more time to making art.

He has been working in marble over the past 2 years and has created several pieces at Arco Arte studios in Carrara under the guidance of Boutros Romhein, working alongside notable marble carvers such as Arne Maeland, Marton Varo, and Tom Allan
